“How to thrive with Diabetes”
The 3 Steps to Sustainable Lifestyle Changes©
By living a healthy and active life, I keep my blood glucose on average around 105 mg/dL, and generally fluctuate between 80 and 130 mg/dL, while maintaining an A1c below 5.5. No low-carb diets or other restrictions. I eat what I want, including cookies and Snickers; and I do what I like to do, which is being outdoors in nature.
The best way to manage your diabetes is by timing things right; not by denying yourself any of the good stuff in life. It’s all about making the right choices and having the right portions at the right times. A healthy lifestyle is sustainable if you make and keep it enjoyable.
Having diabetes myself, I know exactly what kind of struggles you are facing every day, and how hard it is to follow your doctor’s instructions to eat healthy and exercise more.
What most health care professionals do not have is the time to sit down with you and together design a healthy and active lifestyle that is tailored to your specific goals and individual desires. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is easier said than done, so simply sending you home with a diet and exercise plan is not going to work; after all, there is no one-size-fits-all plan. How many people do you know who tried to follow a diet and workout schedule to lose weight, but ended up gaining even more, because it’s just not realistic to maintain? Maybe you recognize yourself in this too?
“You are not alone in this.”
If you want to learn how to live a healthy and active lifestyle that is sustainable, then check out my website: https://becomeaninspiration.com. The 3-step process to sustainable lifestyle changes is so effective because it combines the scientific principles of biochemical physiology, while approaching your challenges from your perspective.
You will find that, while you are taking the 3 steps to realize your dreams, you simultaneously master the techniques to implement lifestyle changes that last a life time. In doing so, you may find that it is not the goals that you achieve, but your healthy and active lifestyle that has become an inspiration™ to others —with or without diabetes— and that they want to follow your example, because it makes you feel good, and it shows. Now who does not want to feel good and look good too?
Keep an eye out for my next blog, and I hope to see you soon to get you started on the journey to your new life!
